Moving Portrait of a friend, Natalia.
filmed at Bagatelle park in a film camera.
Capturing various characters inside her at once during a walk in a park, with staged location and clothes grabbing all surroundings to be part of her portrait.
Throughout, the video shows an uncertain ‘past’ feeling like a still portrait photo, more emphasized by the texture of the Bolex camera and off-pitch sounds. But also, adding some noticeable reference and slight cheekiness combined with sensitive improvised movements by Natalia, to bring currentness.

Portrait en mouvement de mon amie Natalia.
Je l'ai filmé avec une Bolex au Parc Bagatelle à Paris.
J'ai tenté de capter plusieurs facettes de sa personnalité, à la fois assurée et vulnérable.
La vidéo donne une impression de passé avec le 16mm et le changement de hauteur de la musique répétitive, tel un vieux vinyle. Mais certains moments plus spontanés et la présence d'objets contemporains comme la bouteille d'eau nous ramènent au présent.
